We have identified more than 800 families facing constant food insecurity and struggling to put even a single meal on the table.
What is a Ration Package?
Each package is carefully designed to feed a family of five for an entire month. That’s over 450 meals in a month. Each package contains:

What is Share A Ration?
Share-a-Ration is a special initiative by An-Nur Welfare Association designed to provide essential food packages to underprivileged families throughout the year. By relieving the pressure of daily food needs, we aim to give them space to focus on their children’s education, develop skills, and pursue dignity through stability.
Who is the ration shared with?
The families we support are headed by elderly caregivers, mothers looking after sick or disabled family members, or individuals with very limited earning capacity. Each family is carefully vetted by our team who conducts interviews to assess their needs and follows up on a quarterly basis for any changes.
What is the cost of each ration?
Each ration costs $50 CAD. No admin or marketing cost are charged to your donation, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to purchasing and distributing food packages.
What is included in each ration?
Each pack contains essential food items including 40kg of flour, 10kg of rice, 5kg of oil/ghee, 4kg of lentils (dal), 3kg of sugar and 200g of loose tea. These staples are selected to support a family of five's (two adults, 3 children) nutritional needs (3 times a day for 30 days) throughout a month.
Where are the rations distributed?
Our food packages are distributed across six villages & cities in Pakistan, reaching neighborhoods facing extreme poverty and limited resources.
When will the rations be distributed?
Rations are shared on the 1st of each month to ensure all families receive support in a timely manner. Each package is intended to last a full month, and donations are allocated to the next available distribution cycle.
Is the program eligible for Zakat, Fitrana, Fidya, Kaffarah or Sadaqah?
Yes, the families receiving the ration package can be given as Zakat, Zakat al Fitr (Fitrana), Fidya, Kaffarah or Sadaqah.
